Modern Conviction

They are convinced they are frank.
They are convinced they are talented.
They are convinced they can think, reason, write and read.
Look at them: they are even convinced they can talk to each other!
Some are convinced they believe in God, others are convinced there is no God, others still are convinced some spirit talks to them! And they are convinced they work, explore, win or lose, they are convinced they build, they are convinced they educate. O, look at them: they are convinced they live and are happy because of one thing or another, they are convinced they live with joy in their hearts, they are convinced they suffer!
They are convinced they look for ‘something’, they are convinced they have found ‘something’ but they don’t know what. Yes, they are convinced they read, they are even convinced they write but they don’y know why. They are convinced they go to sleep, as they are convinced they are awake and have eyes but they don’t know the meaning!
They are convinced they have rights in the world but actually they don’t know them. They are convinced they have the right to speak but they don’t know who speaks in them and through them. They are just convinced they have breath but they don’t care what is the reason for their breathing.
And those breathing people think they have the power and strength. They are strongly convinced it is of no importance why the sun rises and sets, why they come to this world and disintegrate, why they eat and drink. But they are convinced they know what freedom is, what beauty is, what truth is or they convincingly believe they don’t care. Why are they so
Uncomplainingly convinced-intoxicated in all that?
Because their thoughts and feelings are lifeless old-time skeletons.
